Super-Krete® offers four simple-to-install Stampable Overlay systems for concrete:

·         1/8-inch (single-component) overlay for seamless texturing and borders.

·         1/4-inch (single-component) overlay for patterned stamping.

·         1/4-inch (wet-on-wet system) overlay for patterned stamping

·         Integrally colored (full depth) overlay for 1/8” or ¼” with the Color-Bond™ System.

Each of these systems is designed for use over concrete to create a decorative yet natural appearance to concrete surfaces. The possibilities of design are endless with over 200 stamp and texturing mats available on the market, and an unlimited color selection to choose from or create. The system you choose to install will depend on the texture or stamp mat pattern will you be using.

If using a seamless texture mat, go with the 1/8-inch overlay system. This is because you will get more coverage per bag by going 1/2 the depth of a typical 1/4-inch product. Seamless texture mats are typically only about 1/8-inch deep and do not require 1/4-inch of product to make a solid impression.

If using a patterned mat with joints such as Cobblestone, Wood Plank, or European Fan, you will want to use a 1/4-inch system. Both 1/4-inch systems are designed to maintain a 1/4-inch profile and will accept the impression of a patterned stamp mat.

The difference between the two systems is that one is single-component (no bond coat or primer is needed) and the other (wet-on-wet system) does require Bond-Kote as a primer for Stamp-Kote to bond with.

The Super-Krete Single-Component Stamp Overlay System (using Super-Stamp) is revolutionary in that it does not require the use of a bonding agent. Super-Stamp is an extremely strong and durable material with incredible adhesion. Because of its design, the product contains larger aggregate than that found in Stamp-Kote. Thus, some prefer to use the Stamp-Kote system for a finer, smoother finish in their patterns.
